Harold Evan Stone, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30th. He was born on March 14th, 1939 in Brevard, North Carolina. Harold graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Industrial Technology. After graduation he entered the workforce working first with Lee's Carpets, Fleetguard and then Purolater. In 1974, Harold and his family moved to Cookeville, Tennessee where he and his brother purchased Suburban Supply and Stone Brothers Welding.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Richardson Brown, his father, Fredrick Anthony Stone, and his brother Fredrick Anthony Stone. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Louise Hurst Stone. Harold is also survived by his children, Angela Stone Regitko (George), Jade Stone Hunter (Ron), Tony Stone (Susan). He was blessed with five grandchildren: Jenny Mayberry (Patrick), Mary Beth Jaquess (Tyler), Andi Hunter, Mack Hunter and Sally Smith (Steve) and five great grand children: Jackson Demps, Maggie Mayberry, Jude Mayberry, Tripp Mayberry and Crosby Mayberry. Harold enjoyed golfing and time spent on the water, however, family was of the utmost importance to Harold and he left a strong and beautiful legacy.
