Rosa L. Farley, 85 of Cookeville passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Bethesda Health Care Center
She was born Wednesday January 27, 1932 in Celina, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Jessie (Halsell) and Rose Page.
Rosa better known as Granny Rose was a dedicated member of McClellan Ave Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years. She attended as long as she could saying" I would rather be at church in pain than at home in pain". She was a loving and caring person to everyone she ever met especially her family. Rosa enjoyed singing with her Page sisters, cooking, being taken out to eat on her birthday and having family gatherings
She is survived by:
Daughter Regina ( Marlon) Cullom
Bobby Farley Jr.
She has eleven Grandchildren, eighteen Great Grandchildren and three Great Great Grandchildren
Hilda (Leroy) Gist
William H (Bud) Wester
Alfred, Mike and Robert Turney
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by: Husband Bobby Farley Sr.; Daughter Wilma R. Carr; Granddaughter Clarissa Farley; five Sisters and two Brothers
Funeral services for Rosa L. Farley will be held by Bro. Lee Turner at McCellan Ave Church of Christ on Friday January 12, 2018 at 1:00PM. Interment to follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home and again at McClellan Ave Church of Christ on Friday January 12, 2018 from noon until time of service.
