Obituary for Larry Ira Robinson

Larry Ira  Robinson
Larry Ira Robinson, 74, of Cookeville, Tennessee and formerly of Michigan passed from this life on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Larry was born Wednesday, December 8, 1943 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and was the son of Elizabeth (Twork) and the late Ira J. Robinson.

Larry was a dedicated husband, loving father, wonderful grandfather and devoted friend. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and jack of all trades. Larry served at Cookeville Church of the Nazarene as a board member and was responsible for the well being and maintenance of the church. He proudly served in the United States Army, Rank Sergeant Army Corp of Engineers during the Vietnam War. Larry's heart and work ethic showed in everything he did.

Larry is survived by:

Wife of 54 years: Joyce A. Robinson

4 Children: Shane Robinson (Linda), Heather Garvey (Nate), Cortney Forster (Greg) and Blaire Eckert (Brian)

5 Grandchildren: Skylar, Riley, Alexis, Tino and Lisset

Brother: Tom Robinson (Pat)

Sister: Terry Robinson

Mother: Elizabeth Robinson

Celebration of Life for Larry Robinson will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastors Stephen Morrison and James Staggs officiating with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 and from 9:00 AM until time of services on Thursday, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Donations may be made in Larry's honor to the Cookeville Church of the Nazarene, 360 South Old Kentucky Road, Cookeville, Tennessee, 38506, 931-526-4371.
