James Verlon  Brown
James Verlon Brown, age 76 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, April 11, 2018, .

He was born Tuesday, January 20, 1942 in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the son of Mildred Burgess Brown and the late Bob Brown.

James was a loving husband and father who loved spending time with his family especially fishing. He loved his job as an Electrician and taking care of his dog Pepper. He was also a member of Northeast Church of Christ.

James is survived by his wife of 56 years Mabel Stewart Brown of Cookeville, TN

Justin Frank Ward

Funeral services for James will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 beginning at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 13, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Saturday from 2:00 until the time of service at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tennessee Bible College.
